We currently supports Square for managing memberships/subscriptions. More payment processors will be added in the future.

1. Prerequisites

Before setting up membership plans in PMC, you need to prepare the square app id, square location id, and square token.

How to find Square App Id:

  1. Login to your square developer dashboard.
  2. Log in with your Square credentials.
  3. Click + New Application to create one, or click Open on an existing application.
  4. In the left-hand sidebar, click on Credentials.
  5. At the top, ensure the toggle is set to Production (for live payments) or Sandbox (for testing).
  6. You will see your Application ID listed in the center of the page.

How to find Square Location Id:

  1. While still in your application settings in the Developer Dashboard, look at the left-hand sidebar.
  2. Click on the Locations tab.
  3. You will see a list of your business locations. Each location will have a Location ID (an alphanumeric string, e.g., L0H1ABCDE2FG) listed next to it.
    Tip: Make sure the environment toggle at the top (Sandbox/Production) matches the environment you are setting up. Sandbox locations have different IDs than Production locations.

2. How to Set Up Membership Plans

  1. From PMCs' top menu, go to Settings > Clinics
  2. From clinic's action menu, click Square Subscription Plan
  3. Click Create New Square Catalog to create a new subscription plan
  4. Enter the following details:
    - Subscription Name
    - Amount
    - Cadence (frequency of automatic recharge — e.g., monthly, yearly)
  5. Click Save

3. How to Configure The Membership Cancelation Policy

  1. From the PMC top menu, go to Settings > Clinics.
  2. In the clinic’s Action menu, click Square Subscription Plan.
  3. Click Membership Cancellation Policy. In the pop-up window, you can configure the following options:
    • Forfeit all accrued points when a member’s subscription ends.
    • Restore previously forfeited points when a member reactivates their membership.
  4. Click Submit to save your settings.
